2). Roger Foushee cleared up my question about two HANNAH HARPERS one, awidow, was the second wife of ISAAC BROOKS and this one, wife of JOSEPHJOHN, her granddaughter. This HANNAH s father was ABRAHAM HARPER, son of TRAVIS HARPER. On 12August, 2001, Patty found that this HANNAH did indeed marry after JOSEPHJOHN BROOKS died. This might explain why her daughter VELINA married soyoung. Chatham County, NC fed. census, Upper Regiment JAMES HUTTON 44 M Farmer value $1,600 could be BROOKSland HANNAH 44 making her born abt. 1806 ISAAC BROOKS 12 this is her son with JOSEPH JOHN who was Col. IsaacT. BrooksKING P. HARMON 24 Larry Cates lcates@northstate.net shared this information whichestablishes the date of HANNAH s death Estate of MRS HANNAH HUTTON toALLEN and VALENA JONES et al Feb. 1864 , A M 350.
