1). bobspu.ged Degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University After marrying Grace Beatrice SPURGEON he was a farmer, then an owner of a small general store In Hillisburg, Indiana. In about 1947, he took a position as Ass t Director of Music at Purdue University and held that position until Retirement. Source Marilyn Kay MYERS, November 1995 He also in no particular order was Pharmacist, ran for the U.S. Senate, worked for theIndiana Gross Income Tax division, worked for the U.S. Navy ordinance depot in Newport, Indiana, and also worked at Alcoa in Lafayette, Indiana. He also published anewspaper in Frankfort and perfected a breakfast cereal the likes of which became Cream O Wheat.
