He hadafamily of 4 sons and one daughter in 1800 and remained inPickensCounty, SC He married Mary who may have been Mary Teague, cb1776.John and one of his sons had diedbefore his father, James, wrotehiswill in 1828 sic . James left his son s, John, inheritance to his3unnamed sons. John is believed to have served in the War of 1812.Hiswife, Mary McAdams was issued land grants in Pickens County,Alabamain 1832, but does not appear to have ever lived there. Thereare nofurther records on this family.
