1). 18401.ged Fairfield Daily Ledger, Tues., Aug 23, 1932, Page 2, Col. 3 War Vetern Passes Away. Morello H. Westenhaver, one of the few surviving Civil War Veterns, passed away at the home of his nephew and wife, Mr and Mrs. A. V. Frazey, 300 East Washington Street, at 8 o clock last night...The body is at the Hoskins funeral home pending word from relatives. Mr. Westenhaver was born in Union County, Ohio, April 19,1845, son of Mr & Mrs Jacob Westenhaver. a few years later his parents came to Perlee where for many years the family home was made. He was the last of a family of six children. Mr. Westenhaver was married to Lucinda Snook, who passed away a number of years ago, also their two children, a boy and a girl have died, He was superintendent of the Sunday School at Perlee for a number of years...Member of Company M, 4th Iowa Cavalry. Had his home with his nephew for the past four years.
