NOTES
1). Nixon The older children of William Milhous married and began to raise families in Pennsylvania. Thomas s son, William Milhous, remained on the family farm for awhile, but in 1805, he moved to Belmont County, Ohio, taking the children who were young enough to still be dependent. The Milhouses bought land in Colerain township in Belmont County, although when they went there it was not yet organized as a township. At the end of 1813 the senior William and Hannah Baldwin Milhous took a trip back to Pennsylvania to visit relatives. Hannah was exhausted and remained indoors for ten days to recover. They stayed with the Lightfoots and began visiting their grandchildren. Hannah wrote home to Ohio about several important matters. First, they had to have their certificates from the Concord Meeting.
