1). Used the name of Cratin Calvin Crain in the state of Oklahoma. No one knows the reason why. Name on headstone is Cratin C. Crain. Also went by C. C. Crain PEDI birth

Research  THE WATONGA  OKLA  REBUBLICAN         THURS. 6 FEB 1958      PAGE 2  CRAIN RITES HELD HERE LAST FRIDAY  Funeral services for Mrs. Margarett Crain, 99, were held in the First Christian church, Watonga, last Friday.  Mrs. Crain died last Wednesday.  She was born in Waynesville, North Carolina, on March 16, 1858.  In 1879 she was married to Cratin C. Crain.  The Crains moved to Oklahoma in 1892 and Mr. Crain filed a claim near Geary.  In 1905 Mr. and Mrs. Crain maved to Hitchcock, and in 1918 to the Fay community, Mr. Crain died, August 1, 1928.  Mrs. Crain was a member of the Christian church in Geary.  Survivors include her children Winfred Crain, Hitchcock   Mrs Lura South, Indianapolis, Indiana  Hebron Crain, Blackwell  Mrs Ross  should be Rosa  Linville, Bend, Oregon   Norman Crain, Battle Creek, Michigan, and Marvin Crain, Oklahoma City.  Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 51 great great grandchildren.  Rev. Leon Kidd officiated at the services.  Interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery.   THE WATONGA  OKLA  REBUBLICAN      THURS 6 FEB 1958     PAGE 8  Mr. and Mrs. Joe Crain of Tonkawa, Mrs. James Ditmore and son of Stillwater, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Sykes and Bryan, Mrs. George Sykes and Bob of Wichita, Mr. and Mrs, Chas. Van Duker, Rita and Sheila of Oklahoma City came Friday for the funeral of theirgrandmother, Mrs. Margaret Crain in Watonga.   Mr. and Mrs. Bill Spaeth attended the Grandma Crain funeral in Watonga Friday, Mrs. Spaeth also called on her siste, Mrs. Kitty Cowen.
