He died after 1674 in Baltimore, B al timo re Co. , M D. From what I know our Gallions wer e n ot Ro man Cat holi cs. They worshipped in Maryland a t th e Spesut ia Episc opa l Church. One of old Joseph s so ns J ohn wa s a vestrym an o f this Church in abt.1725... unti l he died. In 1632, Maryland was granted to the CALVERT fa m i l y a s a persona lpossession, to serve as a refuge fo r R om a n Cat holics. I believe Joseph had three sons, John, James and Jos e p h S t ansbury. 1674 Sep. Joseph purchased 200 acres from John and F l o r e nce Lee.Baltimore Co., MD. 1676 or 1677, 6 Feb. Joseph and wife Sarah sold t h e 1 0 0 a cres on Gallien s Bay to Edward Gunnell. Baltim or e Co . , MD. 1684 Aug. Joseph and Sarah sold the 200 acres to Ph i l l i p Greenslade.Baltimore Co., MD. 1692 John Beven conveyed 50 acres to Joseph Gallio n , l a n d located inwhat was called, Haphazard in Balti mo re C o . , MD. 1659 1759 .
