1). Tax list 1762 Chesterfield Co., VA, Tax list of Bedford Co., VA 1789. In 1773, James Taylor bought land on Meadow Creek in far northern Bedford, and in 1778 he bought another parcel on Ozlin Creek, where he would have been a neighbor of the Hatcher family. James & Eleanor are also said to have had a son by the name of William. This information comes from Debra Mc Cann. August 7, 1761 Bernard Taylor gave land to his son, James, which by this time was in Chesterfield Co., VA which was formed from Henrico Co. in 1749.
