1). !CHR American Genealogist Magazine vol. 57, Page 170 baptism !GEN New England Historical & Genealogical Register, vol. 111, page 56 !GEN The Mayflower Descendant, quarterly by Mass. Society of Mayflower Descendants, Boston, vol. 38, pages 125 128 Job Caswell left his fathers home in Middlebrough, MA and went to Newport where he was baptized as a young man on 15 January 1720 1 in the First Congregational Church of Newport. He was admitted as a freeman at Newport on 2 May 1727. He was an Ensignin the Third Newport Company in 1735 & 1736, and as Captain in 1740 & 1742. He was a carpenter or housewright by trade. On 8 Feb. 1725 6 Job purchased his first real estate, being a lot 50 x 100 at Easton s Point in Newport now Middletown .
