NOTES
2). David left Louisiana in the 1920 s to go west. His sister, Virginia, was living in Sante Fe at the time and David went out to meet her. Virginia was a long time best friend of Isadora Clark, and the friendship continued despite the fact that Virginia had left Louisiana. In any case, Isadora went out west to go visit her friend Virginia and was re united with her old friend David. The couple fell in love and were married. Isadora left David Duncan while pregnant with his child, got a quickie divorce and married Pedro Pete Caballero before the baby was born. When the baby, Juanita, was about six years old, David Duncan came around looking for his daughter and wanted to take custody. Little Juanita watched from inside the house as her parents argued the issue outside. Isadora insisted that Juanita wasn t home so David couldn t take her anyway. David eventually left and Isadora retained custory.
