1). bobspu.ged Charles W. GOFF, son of Amos, and father of Amos P., was born in Hamilton County, Ind., June 8, 1827. He married Hester CAREY, daughter of Jonathan and Rebecca CAREY, and to this marriage have been born the following children Rebecca, Rosanna, P. P., Jonathan C.. Charles W., Mary A. and our subject. After marriage Charles W. GOFF settled on a farm in Johnson township, and was closely identified with the township and county of Clinton until his death, April 6, 1864, aged thirty six years, nine months, and twenty eight days.
