1). bobspu.ged BIO Thomas Irving CARTER grew up on his parents farm near Sterling, KS. As a young man, he was driving a team of horses across a small bridge, when it gave way under them. One leg and hip were badly injured, leaving him partially crippled for the rest of his life. Thomas and his wife Nell lived on a farm near LaJunta, COLORADO for 15 20 years until Nell s death in 1935. From that time, Thomas resided in Sterling, KS. REFERENCES 1. Park W. 2).  bobspu.ged  BIO   The actual date of Nell RAY  s marriage to Thomas Irving CARTER is not stated in the PARK Genealogy.  The statement is made that the couple lived near LaJunta, CO  for 15 20 Years until her death in 1935 .  From this statement, compiler has calculated the marriage at  about 1915.  The place of their marriage and any data re Nell  s early life or her parents is not given. Nell and Thomas Irving CARTER died childless.  REFERENCES  1.  The PARK Genealogy, compiled by Glenn M.
