S13 T12N R1E L ewis County Cemetery Dist 2 south of Salkum Washington. Turn right on Wilcox road follow pas t church to cemetery. Previously parts were named Mt. Hope Assn. Cemetery and Mount Moriah. M t. Moriah was at the far end of the cemetery. First burial 1900. At Mt Hope first burial wa s 1886. 5 acres. For records contact Helen Butain 152 Schoonover Road, Mossyrock WA 98564. In formation at Lewis County Historical Museum and Chehalis Timberland Library. SALKUM an Indian word meaning boiling up refers to a series of waterfalls in a nearby strea m first called Salkum Creek now calledMill Creek.
