1). !Family sketch written by Asa Wallace Finley on file at Campbell Museum, Campbell, CA. States his father, Asa, moved from VA to Christian Co., KY about 1810 with brothers William, Dabney, John and sister, Margaret. Asa s family moved on to MO in 1820 Uncle Dabney came in 1835. Uncle John s children, John, Milton, Dabney, Clark and Susan, also settled in MO. Asa Wallace was sent to Cumberland College, near Princeton, Caldwell County, KY. Left Independence, MO 1 April 1846 and arrived at Mission San Jose, CA on 19 September 1846 ordered to Santa Clara Fort and fought with General John Fremont George Daum, 110 Crescent Road, Corte Madera, CA 94925 .
