1). Frederick and his family lived in Northeast Maury county Tennessee, civil district 25, from circa 1832 to circa 1856. Maury County court records indicate land purchases and sales on the west bank of Flat Creek near the junction of Flat Creek and the Duck River. This land adjoined the property of Thomas Franklin Bain who is thought to be his brother. On 15 July 1842 Fredrick apparently had monetary difficulties. He sold farm anaimals, implements, and furniture to John D. Warren for $1.00 and other considerations to satisfy debts. In May of 1850 Fredrick was elected constable of his district. He resigned his post in December of the same year. Susannah Andrews Bain said that Fredrick deserted her. This was thought to be around 1856. He is said to have moved to Arkansas and died prior to 1860.
2). According to Susanna Bain, Fredrick deserted her. She drove a team of oxen from Maury Co, Tennessee to Dent Co, Missouri. She is found in the 1860 Dent Co, MO census with her four youngest children. Amelia and her husband John Shepard are also enumerated in the same census. Susannah is said to have been a staunch Presbyterian.
