NOTES
1). bobspu.ged m1. Ethel May Bell m2. Laura Ruth Markley BIO Tom O DELL operated the Shell Oil Station across the street from his home in Plymouth for as long as compiler can remember. In later years whenever the family gathered, we usually met at Uncle Tom s. There was a swing on the front porch that was seldom empty when the weather was warm and Aunt Laura nearly always had some pie or cake baked when we arrived. Compiler s last memory of Uncle Tom was the day of funeral services for Walter WILLIAMS, Sr. in 1982. Tom had been in failing health for quite some time and was not able to attend the services. On the way from the church to the cemetery, the procession drove past Tom s house. There was Tom, sitting on his front porch watching for the procession to pass. March, 1996 Toms youngest brother, Hubert, loaned compiler the Family Record Sheets from their mother s Bible to document the family s data. On a page listing all of Frank s children, the seventh entry reads, Thomas Leroy O dell were bornd February 27 1900, ...in darker ink is added, Laurel Co Ky. The 1920 census shows Tom still living in his parents household. He was listed as 19 years of age, occupation general labor. REF 1. L. and Beverly WARREN BIO Compiler never knew Ethel O DELL, but has heard many stories of her death just 3 days before compiler s brother was born. Ethel left a broken hearted husband and a very young daughter when she died. The extended family apparently provided a frequenthaven for the widower and his daughter after Ethel s death. From family reports, Doris spent much time in the GILCHRIST home as well as the O DELL Aunts and Uncles after her mother s death.
